Friends of Oakland Art Murmur invites you to join us for a special one day art symposium featuring a gathering of experts from the California ceramic community, a special one-day showing and sale of ceramic works, a behind-the-scenes tour of several OAM galleries, delicious food and wine sponsored by Oakland’s Duende restaurant and Cerruti Cellars.

Event Highlights:

  • Keynote speaker Nancy Servis, an art historian, gallerist, curator, author and educator specializing in Ceramic Arts for over 20 years, and presently a Research Fellow at the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona.
  • Panelists Jim Melchert, Christa Assad, Juan Miguel Santiago, Wanxin Zhang, John Toki
  • Private tours at three Oakland Art Murmur member galleries specializing in ceramics
  • Panel discussion featuring Bay Area ceramic artists
  • Food from Oakland’s Duende restaurant
  • Wine from Cerruti Cellars
